- click on notes to view - Dear Tracy and the MARY Knitters, The children and families at Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira have received your beautiful blankets for over four years now and we are so thankful. Oftentimes, parents are very overwhelmed when their child is hospitalized and perhaps away from home for an extended period of time. These blankets provide them with comfort and a soft snuggly feeling that they long for in a somewhat cold, austere, medical environment. One of the first things parents comment on is the beautiful craftsmanship, designs and colors. Another is the clean, thoughtful way that they are packaged. But the children mostly notice the soft, warm feeling of the yarn. They hold them, sleep with them and even take them to the playroom! On behalf of the children and families here at Arnot Ogden Medical Center we would like to thank you so much for all of the beautiful work that you do. Amy Smyk Dear Tracy, My grandson was in the Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira, NY and was given a crocheted blanket made by someone in Many Arms Reach You. He just loves it and is still using it in the hospital. What a wonderful thing you do to make patients happier. We just wanted to say thanks to each and every person who participates in your loving service. Sandra K Dear Tracy: Thank you for the wonderful baby blankets! We will be able to make up twenty-three new layettes, thanks to your organization and the gifted people who are knitting and crocheting these beautiful items. M.A.R.Y. is such a wonderful way of people coming together with materials and talents to help those who have neither. Your inspiration and hard work in establishing this project has certainly motivated others to walk with you in helping to provide for those who are less fortunate. Thank you for all that you have done for us. Sincerely, Dear Tracy and MARY, Please accept our heartfelt thanks for the hand-made blankets that you make for our Infant-Layette Program. We could never thank you enough for the many hours and effort you put forth to create these beautiful gifts. This is a wonderful project and your generosity directly benefits so many new little ones. Again, thank you so very much for all that you have done for our Ladies of Charity program. Maryle Carns Dear Tracy, Thank you for once again sending such a magnificent shipment of beautiful baby afghans. I am always so impressed with the care you take in washing and packing each lovely afghan. The young mothers to whom we give your afghans truly appreciate them. Most are facing difficulties in their lives at this time and your gift lifts their spirits greatly. I pray that all involved in making these afghans will be blest a hundredfold for their generosity and kindness. Sr. Nora Dennehy Dear Tracy and MARY, Volunteers are the stars that bring a special light to our world. Thank you! We simply could not be successful in serving God’s tiniest children without your help. We are grateful that there are still so many caring folks who recognize a need and help to fill it. We appreciate your time and all that you do. The need for blankets, quilts, booties, hats and warm clothing for sick and needy babies is great. In some cases, when tiny premature and newborn babies leave the hospital, they do not even have a sleeper or receiving blanket to wear home. You are to be commended for your willingness to help the helpless. May kindness return to you in the same beautiful way that it was given. Mary Swanson To Many Arms Reach You, Thank you for your generous donation of blankets to the Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. We try to give a blanket to each of the mothers who deliver here, many of whom are in financial need and/or are considered high-risk pregnancies. Giving them a blanket as a symbol of our compassionate care is one small way we can help them during this time. We appreciate your support of this program. Julie Polka, RN Dear Blanket Fairies, My son had to be hospitalized at Arnot Ogden for one night this past week. He is 3 years old and it was traumatic for him (and me!). Your handmade blanket was a Godsend. What a wonderfully thoughtful service you provide. I can’t thank you enough. My son loves his blanket and it gave both of us a happy memory to take away with us. He sleeps with it every night. Thank you! Beth W. |
